I don’t care if it’s weird that I love a cargo net. I love this cargo net. I texted the post-installation photo of it to more than one past witness of the trials of my pre-cargo-net life: A life of broken eggs, exploding soda, shattered glass, and bludgeoned toes. Blerg.You’d think the lovely folks at Cadillac would realize things roll downhill as a rule, and that downwards isn’t the trajectory you want for items as the hatch opens towards the vehicle-owner, crouched in a basketball stance, ready to catch whatever is about to fling out. They must have been focused on making those really big Escalade taillights, or thought those taillights created a force field. Mine didn’t come with that option. Whatever. This cargo net is the force field.The net came with a spare set of anchor screws/hooks, but my 2016 vehicle already had them. (Yay!) The net feels well-made and solidly stitched. The whole thing zips into a nylon-canvas pouch when not in use (When is it not in use? Who likes sh** falling onto the ground/feet?!). The net itself is open on top with two-sides to hold small, or roll-y, cargo. The canvas pouch/base is not as wide as the cargo space, but that isn’t an issue for me. Everything stays where it’s supposed to and I wish I had bought this sooner. It has already paid for itself in un-cracked eggs.It’s a no-brainer to install. Literally attach strong, elastic loops to existing hooks. Or, add the ones provided. Done. Take pic and send to friend with apologies for the swears that one time when a gigantic can of V-8 landed on your toe.
