Had to add some wood pieces to bottom of doors as they were not 80” as I thought they would be. But they turned out really nice. Nice doors. This is a pretty decent door for the money. The primer finish is a bit crap so you will want to sand it before painting. There were some dings during shipping, but the packing is decent, just fill in any knicks since you need to paint anyway. The installation is easy if you know how to use a tape measure. In my case I had three closets to cover, so 6 bifold doors. I have a non-standard opening and I had to trim the edges to fit. This is fine because the edges are solid and I only need to shave off 1/4" on each bifold panel. The problem came when I messed up the first door and had to order a 7th bifold door as a replacement. The 7th door to arrive is a different door than the first 6 i placed under a single order. The doors they sell are not consistently the same...This is an issue. The first 6 doors I got are heavier, sturdier, and the edge of the raised center panel is well defined. The 7th door was lighter, feels a bit flimsier, and the edges of the raised center panel are not well defined. On its own, this 7th door would look fine, but next to the other type, it looks barftastic. Even the hardware is different from the doorknob, the rail, even the guide posts you hammer into the top of the door. The only saving grace is that the stiles and rails of the doors are the same dimensions, so geometrically, they measure up the same. Luckily I can place the odd one out behind the door to the room where it won't really be noticed...Sellers, sell the heavy version of the door only, your buyers will be happier. The lighter version is rubbish now that i've seen the better one.The instructions are for a bare floor. For a carpeted floor, the height of the door needed to be shortened a 1/4 inch.Instructions might have mentioned to check door height if you have carpeting.Once I shortened it, it was easy to install.I love the door.Easy to installThese doors are good for the price. A few concerns:1: needed sanding before painting- didn't take much but worth it to hand sand the doors with a fine sandpaper.2: the 2 doors fell apart when I was positioning them- the screw plate holding the doors together wasn't installed well.3: multiple dings during shipping. Pro: there was minimal extra packing material- no styrofoam, only a light protective wrap and one reinforced cardboard strip along one side of the door. Con- there are several small dings in the doors and one minor crack.Overall the doors are very nice for the money and very solid woodThe doors are nice looking, but they have a couple of issues. 1. The seams don’t close entirely. There is a visible gap between the decorative horizontal strips and the vertical borders. I bought 2 and both have the same problem. I hit them with a rubber hammer to close the gap and it works but then it splits again.2. The piece that keeps the middle door in the railing is a cheap plastic. After 1 week of installed it is slightly bent already, which means the door comes out of it’s rail very easily.I would look for a different door.Product arrived in apparently good condition. However, the upper trac was bent and coating cracked. We have had to adjust opening the doors to allow for the bent trac. The doors were falling apart at the joinings. Wide spaces exist between panels and framing. Dowels were broken off. My opening is square and the correct measurement. Doors had to be planed in order to fit. All in all I am very dissatisfied with the product. Our handyman is an A-1 worker who basically rebuilt the unit to make it work. But he shouldn’t have had to do so. Your product sucks!I am a 35 year old woman. Bought 3 doors for the apartment I rent to replace two broken ones and the third one for matching purposes. Found it very easy to install. Instructions very easy to follow which is unusual. Doors look more expensive than they are and block out the noise from the washer and dryer much better than the older ones.ONe thing though, if mishandled when installed, sides of the doors can chip so install with much caution. The reason I give 4 stars is for that reason, can chip and wood can split easily, but again the price is good and I don't regret my purchase.
