For thick foam board, it's pretty sturdy. I wouldn't put anything too heavy on it, but for papers and such it's perfect. Putting it together took maybe 15 minScrews everywhere. In most of the pictures the screws are photoshopped. The screws make it look cheap. At least provide white screws. You can also see the joints were two pieces form together (it’s ugly). In most of their photos you can not see the screws or the joints. It’s not a wood material. I believe it’s compressed cardboard.Was not at all pleased with this purchase. Very poor quality. Threw it in the trash.For the price I expected something much more sturdy. I needed 3 hands to assemble it which took me an hour. If I knew how flimsy it was going to be I would have returned it prior to assembly.Very difficult to assembleBrittle and it breaks while you assembleThe material is not sturdyBut its cheap compared to othersIt's been holding up fine but it feels cheap and not a long term item.The instructions were clear and it was easy to put together, however it took a while.If you want something heavy duty you should look elsewhere.This piece is very cheap material, came broken in one side. Was able to put tape and assemble it. Its almost like foam and easy to break. I bought it thinking it was wood. Would not recommend it. Would not buy again.
