Easy to assemble, sturdy and functionalFirst off, I really like the look and sturdiness of this shoe rack. I originally bought this one because I wanted the option to mount it to a door or wall and this is one of the few that comes with wall mount brackets. I ended up liking the over door mount though.I am sharing a few photos of the assembly instructions. The first issue I had was determining if I had 12 rods as the instructions show. I could see 10 and then there were two similar rods but they had a different black plastic head on them. The instructions do not make this clear that the rods you are looking for will have different heads on them. The instructions do not show where the two rods with the shorter head should go on the netted inserts. Hint - on the very ends, but be careful to find the real two far ends of the top and bottom of the net.The instructions show the net unit being assembled with the side curved bar support high side up. I flipped over the entire net and assembled upside down of the what the instructions showed. This made it easier to assemble since I could lay the side support bars flat as I connected everything. Also made it so I did not need a second person to assist me and hold up the support bar the way it is shown in the instructions.Inserting screws in the rod inserts thru the support bar had varying depths. I chalk this up to a manufacture not ensuring the pre fab wholes met their specifications. That problem also means some screws require a lot of torque to get the screw to tighten up all the way. Maybe only 6 of the 24 screw holes were like that, but you need some strength in your wrist or a steady hand and pressure for an electric screw driver to get it tightened all the way. That could be the reason other reviewers had a break down later. If the screw is not tighten down enough, then the plastic head insert could take on too much weight in its loose state. Also want to make sure you do not over tightened the screws. I did not test this, but it looked to me that if you over tightened screws it could effect the integrety of the outer support rods, since it would dent/bend the metal of the tube. Finally, the top or the show rack has a small raised piece of the plastic that inserts into the over the door mount/wall mount. I suppose if this were some sort of hardened graphite it could take some weight and pressure. But this is just plastic. So time will tell if it holds up. See the second to last photo of this small piece that all the weight of the shoe rack rests on. If this does break. My solution will be to drill a hole in it since the plastic insert is long and put a metal screw in it that ill fit in the over the door mount. But hopefully I will not need to do that.It looks great and feels sturdy. Not really practical in area where when opening door the door won’t go back all the way it hits the wallI split them up and installed them as pictured. Holds 30 pairs of shoes (I wear 7.5/8), though I did use the space underneath the rack, and did the job I wanted it for. I would not recommend this for large shoes or boots, and I did not use the over the door function.Might take 4 hands to properly put together but after it is together it is functional. The item is not so hard to assemble, but the instructions are terrible. Once I figured out one side, the other side was much easier. However, once put together, I love the shoe rack. The shoes don't fall out like on my previous rack. This is because of the netting on it. Works like a charm.I got this shoe rack for my garage to organize all the shoes that piled up behind the door to the house. The shoe rack wobbles a bit where the vertical rods on both sides connect, that's why I gave it a 4 star. But when it's mounted on the wall, it's pretty sturdy and it does the job of organizing all my family's shoes perfectly. Overall, I'm happy with this purchase. You pay way to much for a cheap Material.
