These door knobs look great, so much better than the worn original brass ones that ,though ugly, had lasted 60 years. These feel a little light weight and stick sometimes (when you retract the latch to open the door it doesn't always return to the out position when you let go of the knob). A little twist fixes it. I thought these were Schlage door knobs (Dexter by Schlage), but I later found this:"The company Dexter was purchased by Schlage, which has led to some confusion on the part of consumers. While Schlage has ownership of the company, Dexter still retains all its original manufacturing facilities and procedures. Therefore, in the opinion of many locksmiths, their locks are not up to the standard of Schlage's."What with the pricing and good looks, I am happy with my purchase.Couldn't use on my doors,but they're good door knobs. Wish they would've worked for me.worked perfectly to replace my outside key lock with a keyless. I have a deadbolt that I bought the schlage programmable lock and that combo works great. Prior to that, I had a keyed lock that I always worried would be locked by accident. I have had these door knobs on all winter in colorado and see no issueI bought 8 in total. I feel they bare good quality knobs. I like the finish I chose very much and shows no finger prints left on shiny knobs somnetimes. They needed a bit to install as my prior knobs were a different brand but worked out fine. I also like the simple lock defeat with the use of any flat head, coin, or knife. I always use to lose that little dohickey that fit in the tiny hole for that enhanced secutrity.Overall great product and easy to install. It's a nice way to modernize things in the house while on a budget. You can use an electric or manual Phillip's screwdriver.Super productoRound looks good! This is just what I envisioned for our small linen closet in the bathroom. All the other fixtures in this room are polished chrome and I was unable to find polished chrome knobs in the box stores.Doorknobs are slightly smaller than others, but they serve their purpose well. I bought several to replace all knobs in my house, and they are functional, they do not stick in any way, and lock. Much better value than the expensive, brand name locks.I purchased this for my closet door. I love the antique brass look. It is very sturdy and feels very well made.
