The shelves may be rated for 875kg or 1900 lbs, but they're thin sheets of mdf for shelves supported by a flimsy metal frame with one bar of support in the middle. The little support bar won't even stay in place as the thin metal flexes. Tearing down to return is probably more trouble than it's worth, but this unit is definitely not for heavy storage.
