After using every expensive garment bags for travel, we switched to low cost and lightweight garment bags. These are not intended to use for checked baggyairline travel, but they could be used as a carry on for clothing in airline travel. What I like best about them as they are lightweight and you could easily see what item is contained inside. We do a lot of quick road trips and this is ideal for throwing in the back of your trunk with items you don’t want to get wrinkled in a suitcase. I would not use them in a check baggage situation, but would highly recommend them should be used in any carry-on situation. I feel that the old garment bags are just too heavy to carry and not worth the aggravation of their use. The ones I purchased our best for shorter length items, but I have used some dresses and just folded up the bottoms of a longer dress. They are so affordable and lightweight. The quality seems very decent as well.
