I installed this on an exterior door. The instructions said to do it a certain way (screws to the inside) and when completed it showed a photo that indicated the lever was upside down. It only goes one way, so I had to reinstall the opposite way with the screws on the outside. Other levers I’ve installed can be flipped around so the the screws are inside and the lever is right side up. Sorry if this makes no sense. the lever is lovely and feels solid.Very easy installation, and good valueGot this to replace a worn-out Kwikset lever that has been on a bathroom used by up to four kids over the last 20 years. This is a little larger and sturdier than the original, so it isn't an exact physical match of the other levers in the house, but it's close enough. The unlock mechanism needs a small tool (slotted screwdriver) to unlock, but one is included. Other older privacy locks just needed something to push through the hole. This requires a turn. Satisfied with this replacement.We replaced standard doorknobs with these handles and love the ease of use for people with arthritis. Install was not difficult.Look terrific.Couldn't have been easier to replace my older slightly different style non-locking handles and latch. Did it without instructions. Very happy to have had no hidden issues. Will buy another as spare for other doors.Needed ONLY the handle that was damaged. Worked perfectly. Didn't need to purchase whole set (both sides and the mechanism)So superior to round knobs! Looks great, and super for arthritic hands. Every door handle we have has been converted to these.NiceAm pleased. I know nothing about installing door handles, but managed to install it myself, and it was a simple enough process.
