Unfortunately the shelf slides under the shelf or table top that you would put it on. The spot in my bathroom I was going to put it does not have that capability for this itemSpace importantThese aren’t a product I would have thought I ever wanted or needed. However, I’m 7.5 months pregnant, working from home with a 15 month old, and living in a “new” house that’s short on storage spaces. I’m kicking into nesting mode and I needed something to make my life more organized with the closet space we do have. These did not work for the shelving I pictured them on- merely because the shelves in question were very deep and these dividers work far better on a more standard-depth shelf. I ordered two sets of these tall ones, a set of regular-height, and am now ordering one more set of the tall for another closet in need. Now if I can just get my husband to get with and stick with the program I’m working on for these tiny closets!I have about six of these and one of them came broken. Unfortunately, I had already thrown away the packaging before I noticed it. So, since I have five good ones and one bad one, I still gave it three stars. They come packaged two at a time. So, make sure that you check both of them before throwing the packaging away.I tried to glue it but it did not work.I put them at the back of my closet and they do not show as much. It almost looks like they are not there. My wood shelf is not nailed down and it was easy to put in.My opinion is that these are much better than the plastic and cost much less than the acrylic. You can not go wrong with these!This works perfectly in my laundry room to organize cleaning cloths and hand towels.As it turns out our shelves all have a "frame" across the front that makes them too thick to take these dividers. But, rather than return them I decided to try to use them somewhere else. We use wire shelving in our linen closet and I figured these could work to keep our stacks of towels in place. With a few zip ties they are working well. They're a little "loose", but they've been in place for three months now, and even though I couldn't use them as I wanted or as they were designed, they have turned out to be a worthwhile investment.They are not joking about them being tall. I, being lazy and kind of cavalier about organizational things, didn't actually measure anything, or actually read the product specification. Luckily one of the shelves in my closet was tall enough, but there were definitely a few moments of thrilling uncertainty. I think the problem was that somehow the product photo makes these towels look TINY. Or perhaps it's the fact that I can't fold towels neatly unless they are washcloths. But alas,rolled up bath towels are pretty sizable. This product is great, but don't be lazy like me unless you also like the thrill of intensely mundane risk-taking.Does the job no compl9Excellent will purchase moreThis is just what I needed in my closet. Being short some times have to throw items on the shelf this organizes into sections and makes everything neat and tidy. I would recommend the tall dividers. But now I have moved and have wire shelving so they're useless. So sad. I loved having my bags so beautifully organized.
