I liked the ability to 'stuff' the bags, have the air sucked out and compress down my outdoor cushions and summer wardrobe to a very nice compact size.What I didn't like was the front of the package states "Works with any vacuum". It did not work with my Dyson vacuum because there is a locking nub of sorts for attachments at the end of my vacuum. This nub protrudes enough to prevent it from getting a seal to vacuum out the air. I borrowed a neighbors vacuum in order to do this. This is was not a deterrent for me, just thought it should be noted.So far so good. We can fit a queen size comforter and blanket in on bag. Seems study enough. We did have trouble with the seal on one bag. In addition to using the slide to seal the bag we needed to ensure the seal was secure with our fingers. This seems to have corrected the issues.These jumbo bags are too large for travel suggest a smaller size of this is your intent.I bought these for our move across the country. They worked well - so long as you keep to the instructions/common sense. We only put our clothes in them and watched them flatten to the thickness of most modern TVs. Highly recommend for moves especially but any travel or storage if you are limited on space --- then again if they are going to sit vacuumed sealed indefinitely maybe time to part with them?Good... These things pack down very well. I'm using mine to store winter blankets during the warm season. They easily stack on a closet shelf, protected from dust, in a space where they never would have fit without these bags.Also, the hand-pump is nice, and does a very effective job, but if you have a vacuum, I recommend using it, as it's much faster, especially when packing multiple bags.Needs improvement... the bag dimensions given on the package are for the exterior of the bags. I would really like to see something that gives the capacity of the bag. For example, subtract at least a full inch from the side measurements, and six inches from the length, due to a "fill line" that I didn't know about beforehand. I was hoping to put two blankets per bag, but because of the smaller than expected capacity, I was only able to get one blanket per bag.Bumpy... one of the blankets is a homemade quilt from my grandmother, who is no longer with us, so the blanket has a special place in my heart, and is irreplaceable. I appreciate that these bags will help preserve this blanket. However, since it is homemade, and has been through the laundry several times, it has developed some internal clumping that doesn't manifest until I pull a vacuum on the bag. With that in mind, I recommend that you make sure your stuff is as flat as possible before sealing the bag, as all those bumps effectively defeat the purpose of the bag's space-saving qualities.With all that said, I absolutely plan on buying this product again.I was apprehensive to purchase these after reading about issues with pinhole leaks/and or bags tearing after trying to store them. Happy to report that I didn't have any such issues after using the jumbo sized bags to store away multiple king sized comforters, blankets, and pillows. You'll rupture a vein trying to get all the air out using the supplied hand pump. Highly recommend a separate vacuum with hose to get these bags to compress to their full potential.I was looking for something that would allow me to store a queen size feather bed mattress topper. I was skeptical at first but I managed to put it in this huge storage bag and then suck out the air. It probably saves me 3/4 the normal space.The suction is easy to do. Have had no problems with air leaking. I used these for my summer clothes, I have small closets. I put them in a storage trunk and out in the outside storage unit. Great storage saver!I purchased this for a trip knowing I would be sharing my luggage with my kids. This is such a life saver because we were able to fit a lot of clothes into our luggage and it was easy to sort the clothes by each child. The directions were easy to follow and the kids had fun using the pump to suction out the air. So far we have had multiple uses out of the bags and plan to keep reusing it for future trips.Firstly, these are very good bags. I've successfully stored single duvets, pillows, lots of bedding, towels, and clothes, and more than a year later, the compression and seal are still intact.Secondly, for people asking, the jumbo ones do *not* work for king size duvets! As the advertisement clearly states, they are for queen size. They are not large enough for king size, not even for a summer-weight one. The duvet fits in but it's too large to be compressed properly, so after a couple of hours, the bag will be expanded again. I know because I wanted to see if I could squeeze my summer one in!If you just want a cover for a duvet it's fine but if you want to save space, you'll need a bag that's 110cm x 90cm. These are only 100cm x 80cm. Doesn't sound like much of a difference but it is!When I bought these bags I decided I was going to wait one year before writing a review. The reason being is that I was fed up in the past of buying other vacuum bags that slowly started to re-inflate within months or the plastic would deteriorate and tear. So I thought I'd take the financial plunge and go for the branded version and test the lifetime guarantee. Well to say I am impressed is an understatement. I bought a pack of two jumbo bags and was so impressed, I ordered that same day the pack of mixed sized bags. I'd give them five stars more if I could.First of all, they must suck every particle of air that is hard to recognise what was in there to begin with. Double sized duvets, sleeping bags and pillows have been vacuumed since December 2018 and still no release of air. It is now January 2020. To compare, I vacuum packed a sleeping bag with a storage bag from a discount store and it re-inflated after a couple of months. Bags used to pack away seasonal clothes have been vacuumed twice now and re-inflated. There is no sign of the plastic becoming worn either and this is with the bags being stored in a dusty loft.Then I tested the lifetime guarantee. I had a bag for a year and went to vacuum seal it and could hear the air release when I finished but could not see a tear or hole. I emailed spacesavers to ask for a replacement under guarantee and got a reply within the hour. No fuss, no questions just an apology and asked for my address. And this was on New Years Day!! I ended up apologising for the email as I was expecting an automated acknowledgement not an actual reply. Replacement bag arrived four working days later.I've recommended them to all my family and friends and they all agree spacesavers are best they have come across. My daughter now uses the jumbo bag when she and family (husband and two small children) drive to us for a visit. Jumbo bag work better than suitcases in the car boot.My only negative feedback is the hand pump is rubbish. Doesn't work as good as a vacuum cleaner, so I would only use them for travelling if there is a vacuum cleaner at each end of the journey. I stop short of asking hotel house keeping for a loan of their vacuum cleaner :-)! I've now got three hand pumps from my successive orders which I won't use. For the sake of environment I would suggest spacesavers remove them from the packs and make it a separate order item.Bonjour,Avis après utilisation.J'ai commandé ce produit pour libérer mes placards des vetements que je ne met plus et pour déplacer temporairement mes vêtements d'été pour laisser place au vêtements d'hiver car nous vivons dans un appartement de 50m carré.➡️ Les points positifs :- Produit et plastique de très bonne qualité. Épais et assez grand pour pouvoir mettre pas mal de choses par sacs.- Énorme gain de place, j'étais septique avant utilisation n'ayant jamais utilisé ce genre de produit mais très agreablement surpris du résultat.- La mise en place est très très simple avec son ouverture sur le côté un peu style sac congélation et avec un petit outil pour le refermé correctement pour qu'il soit étanche une fois les éléments mis à l'intérieur.- Une fois les éléments sous vides et réduits, le paquet ne prend casi pas de place et j'ai pu le stocker sur l'armoire et ducoup libérer énormément mes placards de mes vêtements inutiles ou hors saisons.- La bouche d'aération pour pouvoir retirer toute l'air dans le sac fonctionne très bien➡️ Le point négatif :- A la base on vous fourni une pompe noire pour extraire l'air .. franchement je ne l'ai pas utilisée .Petit conseil : Prenez juste l'aspirateur ca fonctionne tres très bien et cela va très très rapidement réduire le sac en mode crêpe sans se casser la têteHonnêtement je recommande ce produit sans hésiter, le produit est top et rapport qualitée prix ça vaut le coup. I have had other vacuum packs before but they have always broken or even worse not closed properly in the first place. These are much stronger and the zip seals seem to be much easier to close. I expect them to last and if they don't you have a lifetime guarantee so you can always replace them so nothing to lose really.I purchased these bags to use for foam mattresses and King size comforters. I was concerned they wouldn’t work.I was extremely surprised and happy with the bags. They were huge! My king size comforters fit no problem.The vendor emailed me to ask about my satisfaction and I told them I was very happy with them however one bag did have a slow leak at the zipper that I “fixed” with duct tape. I was told they would send a replacement bag!Imagine my surprise when a complete set came in!Honestly the bags and customer service from this company is outstanding.Strongly recommend.
