First off, let me state, you get what you pay for! I did not want to spend a ton of money changing out 10 sets of door knobs. My wife likes satin nickel EVERYTHING, so the brass coated door knobs I perviously had in my home had to go. With the decent reviews on Amazon, I ordered them. FYI, I ordered these directly from DSD GROUP (the manufacture of Constructor Prelude locks) through Amazon. These were not fulfilled by Amazon, but by DSD GROUP!On to my review:-the locks have everything needed to install in your standard door (2 door levers, latch, striker plate, screws, and instructions)-instructions are mediocre at best (I have installed over 500 door locks, so those were of no use to me)-satin nickel finish is good, and handles feel solid-plastic clam shell packaging looks nice, and does its job-spring back rate is good, from both top and bottom (lever handles)-latch assembly is made from thinner steel, but it does the trick, these are interior doors we are talking about!-they do look very modern, and do get compliments from family and friends-very easy to install, as there is no locking mechanism to deal with on Passage lever locksWhy I gave 3 stars:- when I received my package from DSD GROUP, the box looked like it had been tossed into a clothes dryer, at turned on for 30 minutes, there were 2-3" holes in the box! Luckily, all of the locks but 1 Passage, where in great shape. The 1 Passage however was damaged in the finished face, and the clam shell was cracked open and the locking latch was COMPLETELY missing from the box. This could be delivery service damage, or the lack of packaging filler material around all the locks! Either way, I contacted DSD GROUP, they are going to ship out a new passage lock to me.UPDATE: They did end up sending me a new unit. So great customer service.I do recommend these locks, and the price is great too!CPSWorks very well. Needed the lever due to my wife's arthritis making round knobs hard to grasp.I've had these installed for about 3 months now, and haven't had the first complaint with them after installation (as opposed to the competing product on here that many reviewers say falls apart quickly). They won't fool you into thinking they are a $30 handle, but they're good and solid, and they won't strike you as being cheap, either. I installed these as an inexpensive upgrade before listing my home for sale, but I've liked them enough they are one of the first things on my list to install at my new home.Be sure to ask the seller for instruction for flipping them left or right if you don't want some of your handles curving down and others curving up. It's an easy step that takes 5 seconds. My two complaints have been voiced before: 1) only a square strike plate is included, and 2) the plate surrounding the catch doesn't seem to be removable, so if you have barrel-shaped catches, you'll have to do even more chiseling. These are out of stock now, but the vendor promised more would be available near the end of June.Purchased in conjunction with some privacy levers of the same made and trim; this was the better of the purchases simply due to the fact this handle doesn't have the sub-par locking mechanism of its privacy brethren. The appearance is fine; handles come wrapped in plastic to protect the finish which is a nice touch. The assembly feels commercial; the springs are very taut and the angles on the handles are almost sharp. It doesn't have the smooth action or the comfort of something like a Schlage, but then again it was less than half the price.Switching handles was fairly simple but not as easy as more mainstream brands; instructions for the handle change are included but the recommended "push pin" was not. This assembly is very basic; no templates are included and you only receive the square-cut strike plate and face plate; no round-cut plates are included. All in all, the unit serves it's function and looks decent enough doing it.These are good handles for the price, and overall I am happy with my purchase. However, you do get what you pay for:*minimal instructions*No pin included for reversing sides*No alternate shaped face plate*The strike plate is not standardThe last one bothered me the most. To get it aligned correctly, I would've had to break out the chisel and re-drill some pilot holes. In the end, it was just easier to keep the old brass strike plate (who notices those, anyway?!).If this is your first time installing a lock, I would not recommend this brand. I happened to have purchased a more expensive lever prior (with detailed instructions, pin, alternate plates and a standard strike plate), so I knew what to do when it was time to install the 10 door levers that I purchased. Would still recommend this brand more generally though.I liked these since I didn't feel like spending twenty dollars or more per handle just for closets and such. These are well made, look good, and the packaging isn't the plastic sealed stuff that you have to cut open - it was nicely done in a clamshell that was held with four press points on top - easy to just pop it open with your hands. The hardware is well designed and has nice movement for the price. My only complaint is that it ONLY comes with the rectangular face plate for the latch - and of course all my interior doors were done with the circular faceplates, so I'll have to get out a chisel and rework all the doors I'm using this on. That was a letdown and a surprise, this is actually the first door knob I've ever purchased that didn't have BOTH the rectangular and round faceplates for it's latch. So keep that in mind when you're shopping these.Other than that, for the price I saved with 8 door knob replacements, it's still a good deal, but lost a star by forcing me to carve my doors for a rectangular faceplate...Went in okay. The handle’s latch and it’s face plate are one piece. My old handle’s latch had no face plate. I really should have chiseled an inset on the edge of the door for the faceplate but just surface mounted it instead. Still works fine.Easy to install, even since I had to switch the handles.Piece of cake.Very nice finish and looks great. Although I did not need them other than to swap handles, the instructions were great and very well explained.I highly recommendA word of caution, read the description carefully, even though it says it's lockable this is just a non-locking passage handle assembly only, it is NOT a privacy assembly which also would not include let's which is another point of confusion in the description.A bar was broken when arrived.Works well so far, easy to install. Not the sturdiest, but I didn't want to pay for the sturdiest either.
