Tustin Hall/Closet Lever Handle with Microban Antimicrobial Protection in Antique Nickel Finish - Perfect for Bathrooms, Kitchens & High-Touch Areas

I just purchased 2 of these locksets in Antique Nickel, as well as two matching deadbolts. They arrived this morning (Sunday via USPS !?) and I installed them all over the last hour or so. The finish is gorgeous, and the installation, including the reprogramming to my existing key went exactly as advertised. No issues at all. The technique used to reverse the handles is very clever. I wound up ordering 4 privacy and 3 passage sets to do the rest of the house.As a side note, there are a few comments mentioning that the locksets failed mechanically, or lost finish, after a few years. (resulting in a 1 or 2 star rating, which I guess is understandable). The thing is, it clearly states on the Kwikset website that these come with a lifetime warranty on both. Those with issues might want to make a phone call--I certainly would."This product comes with a lifetime mechanical and finish warranty to the original residential user of Kwikset against defects in material and workmanship as long as the original user occupies the residential premises upon which the product was originally installed." -- Kwikset websiteAdded another closet to our home. The closet door handle looked great and matched ours existing ones but this one was threaded incorrectly and was extremely difficult to install.I've installed three Kwikset SmartKey deadbolts - all keyed the same. This entry lever Kwikset uses the same SmartKey system, so I installed it and changed the keying to match the other locks.Pros: Can be SmartKey changed and relatively inexpensive. Looks good. Simple to install.Cons: Not the strongest construction and tamper-resistance available, but for the price - what the heck. Long screws provided should be much longer - replaced them with 4" deck screws.For myself , this lock was a little hard to install . The apartment was built in 1970 , and all the items are this old . Oh , well . It required a " wide door extension kit " . Once I had my " head out of the dash " , it was simple enough . Just measure the thickness of the door first . The lock itself ROCKS . This is the casual door lock you want . It is cheaper than Schlague and will change combinations . Why Schlague is still in business , I don't know . JUST BUY IT AND ALL IS WELL .Does not come with adjustable latch as advertised. Needed to buy latch for a additional $6.00 dollars. What a serious error I have made in indicating there was no adjustable latch in the package I received. Upon turning the box upside down lo and behold what do you think dropped out was an adjustable latch. This is an easy mistake to make has it is underneath a black plastic formation underneath everything else. So sorry again for this greivis mistake.It's so much better than the sloppy mess that it replaced. It's not top end. It's Kwikset. But it feels better once installed than you'd think based on holding the components in your hands.Arrived as described, the item was used, but it looks and works great for our vacation rentalLoved the smartkey - boght sets and programmed all the keys to be the same. One handle on the inside where a person manually turns the inner know 90 degrees to loock, slowly got stiff, wouldn't turn the entire 90 degrees. Eventually only turn 20 degrees, but would still lock. Then it stiffened where it won't turn at all.What a hassle! Having a door that won' lock. I am going to order a replacement. But, this isn't a good sign.This handle is on an outside door, but the door way has a 5' overhang so no water reached it. It was a dry tiime in our area, so there was not even normal rain. Basically, this was locked each night, maybe again during the daytime. Guessing the inside knob lock was not turned over 350 times.
