These hangers do not save any space -- and when I say "any" I mean none whatsoever, nada.That said, they do provide a great deal of organization to your closets. They appear to be sturdy, although they are made of thick plastic. There is also a small bit of assembly required, but that isn't much and shouldn't stop you from buying them at all. You just put the hangers through a hole and put the plastic tips on them.I had planned to use these for all hangers but once I recognized they were not saving any space whatsoever, and certainly not enough to extend the hangers once again when choosing clothes in place, I decided to go with a simple one piece hanger that has five "Racks" on it where the pants overlap. The plastic connector on these hangers seems a little bulky to me as well. However, unlike another set of these made by a different manufacturer, these hangers seem to keep the pants even and hang straight... that is, the pants don't slide down the hanger and thus wrinkle at the place they are folded over the hanger. They hang evenly. If this is the kind of hanger you are looking for, this brand seems sturdy and functional enough. Just don't expect to go saving all kinds of space unless you have a limited set of pants to begin with. Multiple sets of these don't play well together. I have about 150+ pairs of pants hanging in my closet... you may have more space to begin with.I purchased these in an effort to help organize my closet and make some space, which it did not help much with. They are sturdy and do what they're supposed to by organizing standards, however it is such a large and bulky piece of plastic at the long base part that it takes up generally the same amount of space then without it. I purchased new and sleeker ones from a different company, which are perfect. I suppose if you aren't worried about space (or are looking to hang heavier items), then these will do fine, especially for sturdiness.Hate to say but I cannot get this to work = great concept but I can't get the pants to stay on the hangars - so I can't use it - it may be me and my assembly but I don't think so.I think this product is a good value for what it costs. It seems sturdy and holds my pants well. One thing to keep in mind: each of the metal rods has a plastic piece attached to keep it from sliding out of the plastic unit-these come off very easily so the rod slides out. Also the hooks are very stiff and hard to move, but they move more smoothly after a couple of uses.I need to save space and this hammer does it. However the functionality is not as easy. To get your pants off, you need to put both hooks on the rod…which means you still need to fully open it. I would recommend it for women’s pants only.They are a little difficult to set up the pants originally fell off the hanger but eventually I got it to work better. It saved a lot of closet space so I’ll be happy using them in my dorm when I move in next week. I might have to buy some more laterThey work as shown but still took up too much space in my closet for my liking. When I added my pants on them and pulled the hook down, the pants layered together and was too thick and took up maybe about the same amount of space as if they would’ve if I hung them up on the closet rod.great space saver if you get it to stay hanging up
