I appreciate the aesthetic of this shelf, hence why we ordered it. I like the top shelf feature which was something we were looking to have on our shoe shelf.I am generally satisfied with this purchase, i just wish that it would be a tad wider. It doesn't seem to be made wide enough for 2 pairs of wide men's shoes and 1 pair of women's shoes on one shelf or even 1 men's shoes and 2 women's shoes. I generally expected it to be wider where you put the shoes. It was simple but a bit challenging to assemble just because everything was a bit too snug. They might not all be like that though. All the racks had dents from shipping and the pressed wood top split when I put the screws into the pre-drilled pilot holes to mount it. But it does hold shoes nicely.
