I started with buying a couple of bins to help me get my new kitchen cabinets nicely organized, and I keep finding more places where these bins are helpful for organizing my whole house and life! I love all of the different sizes that are available, making it so easy to find just the right bin for every cabinet and shelf.I didn’t read the reviews before purchasing so when they came in the mail I was very confused and upset by the way these were packaged. Stuffed together as tightly as possible. Not even my husband could get them apart! I read through a few reviews for ways to get them loose without breaking. (The review where a guy uses a rope and the review where a woman fills her bathtub are the two methods I combined) Here is what I did.I filled my bathtub with the hottest water that came from the tap. Then I thoroughly mixed some hair conditioner into the water. I placed my stack of bins into it and held it under water for a few minutes, then flipped it to the other four sides to do the same. I dumped the water from the top bin but water was still trapped in the bottom 3 bins. Turns out this is what I needed. I used gravity to pull the bins apart by continuously yanking on the top bin. The weight of the water in the bottom bins with the conditioner helped make the top bin slide right off. The bottom bins came apart easily after that. I didn’t use oil because it’s harder to clean off, whereas conditioner just rinses off!None of my bins are damaged in any way. Just my arm muscles.Hope this helpsOne of the tubs was cracked but I didn’t try to return. More trouble than just keeping. The tubs are sturdy and clear.I will buy these again!! They are sturdy, and perfect for organizing anything,can't where! These were used in a cube storage shelf instead of those fabric bins. I'm ordering for the pantry, under the kitchen sink, under bathroom sinks, inside the kid's closets, and in all of our drawers!The product itself is GREAT...however the packaging is terrible. There needs to be tissue placed between each bin (at a minimum in the corners). We are still unable to separate four of the bins. They are so stuck together in the corners it's extremely difficult loosen them. It took us 4 hours to separate three (3) sets of four bins each. We resorted to "googling" techniques for separating plastic bins. Though while trying to separate them we were so worried they would break or crack, due to the force we were applying. One technique worked better than others but not consistently and not without a lot of struggle. If we cannot get this last set separated we will have to return them, unfortunately we really need them.Organized my entire pantry live theseUsing these bins for my Billy bookcases. It is not a loose fit. But as the features rating suggest, I would not recommend you put anything too heavy.Bought to go in my cube organizer shelf. Works well and fits like it should. We have only unpacked four of the eight ordered as they are SUPER difficult to separate when stacked for delivery. My husband used a bag of frozen corn to somehow unsuction the first four. I've been trying to separate the second set of four and have been unsuccessful in the last hour. Not sure if i would buy again as they are no fun to separate.Love the size and clear totes once I ‘unwedged’ them apart AFTER an over TWO hour soak completely submerged in a bathtub of HOT water . The totes were impossible to pry apart as they were received stacked together in 2 stacks of 4.A ridiculous wrestling match ensued post the bins hot water soaking!!I did email for some advice on how to safely unwedge the totes without scratching, cracking and destroying them along with my digits. The only response was, “ I’m assuming you want a refund?”I did manage to separate the eight totes. I do think that they need some kind of paper or cardboard material in between each tote for shipping to avoid this dilemma.These bins were exactly what I was looking for. The only downside to them was how they were packaged. They didn’t have any type of paper in between them so it took a lot of work and problem solving to get them unstuck from each other.IMPOSSIBLE TO SEPARATE THE STACK OF BINS!!! I’d love to know how they perform organizing my closet but I can’t use them all stuck to each other. The have a little bit of flex to them which is a bonus. They also came apart easily, I was a little nervous based on other reviewers not being able to separate them (maybe I got lucky).
