I bought these storage bins because they have lids and I like the black and white houndstooth design. They are relatively sturdy and have a bottom inset piece that adds body. The lids help to keep the bins square. The only negative I can say is that the print on one of the lids is a bit crooked, which takes away from its appearance. Other than that, I like their size, weight and design.I'm using these as a decorative storage option. They are sturdy and cute design. Good if you looking for something better then the plain plastic bins.These boxes arrive broken down and flattened. That is the way you can have them any time they aren't being used, so they take up very little storage room. They go together easily to create a solid box. The flat bottom piece goes in first, then the edges of the lid fold out. Once the lid is placed on the box, it becomes very sturdy. These boxes are not just a lot more attractive than paperboard boxes like are used for long-term file storage.The fabric on the outside is easily cleaned up if something is spilled on a box. The fabric is not damaged by water. The fabric on the inside can be wiped up even more easily should there be a spill.There is one sort of strange part of the design of these boxes; that is, the handholds are on the front and back sides as opposed to being on the ends, which is much more common. The placement of the handholds make these a little harder to handle than if the holds were on the end. That's not terribly significant, as these boxes are for storage and not something you are going to be carrying around every day.These are wonderfully sturdy storage boxes with lids. I am able to fit three to four blankets in each one, depending on the size and thickness of the blankets. They are sturdy enough to stack and the color works well in my living room. They look sophisticated in their blue hound's-tooth print sitting quietly in a corner, and their ability to bring order by stashing extra blankets is much appreciated. I can see their useful storage encasing a multitude of items from books, magazines, craft items, or toys for kids or dogs. The price was a little higher than I like but they are quality through and through.This 3-pack is a good quality set of foldable storage. The inside of the boxes and lid are lined which is a nice touch. The bottom liner that provides stability to the box is also lined and has a tab in one of the corners for easy lift. The handles on the box are plastic, so there's less chance of fraying or getting dirty from repeated pick-up. The houndstooth pattern on the box looks confusing in pictures, but are much better looking in real life. A minor issue I noticed is that the fabric is not perfectly aligned with the edge of the box or lid; it's visible. You have to really scrutinize the boxes to see it, so it's not a big deal.Storage bin looks great. I like how you are able to store it flat when you do not need it. I have discovered it is better to get the bins with top covers in order to keep dust to a minimum.I was pleased with this bin due to its top cover. The top cover is not attached to the bin. Cover has flats and rests on top. This is a good design since you are able to stack them. Only restriction is not to place something really heavy since these bins are not made for heavy items. I love the lift handle slots on the side. These fit perfect on an 18-inch-deep shelf. Getting them in all the same outside pattern works good for my situation, then I know all similar stuff in in them. I could write on the end with a permanent marker the contents of the box, but I’ll save that for another time. The containers are sturdy and well made. The lids fit on easily. The seller’s description is accurate, these are great storage bins.I used this to store my oracle card decks and it held a ton of them without bending or tearing at all. The pattern is nice and although it's a little strange to have the handles on the longer sides of the bin, it also makes it easier to carry it down a narrow staircase or through a hallway. The lid is very sturdy and even served as a cat bed when my cat decided to nap on it. These hold a lot and I'm really impressed by the quality. Getting a set of 3 is even better because I can have matching storage options. Highly recommend!The storage boxes arrived safely, and they come flat packed wrapped in plastic film.They are ready for use in seconds as you just need to unfold them, place the rigid insert inside the box and then unfold the lid. They are surprisingly well-made and good quality; the walls are thick, the stitching is done to a high standard, and the lids fit on tightly with very little play.For boxes I think they look quite stylish, and the dark grey fabric is fairly neutral so they should go well in most rooms and match with a good variety of different colours.Ive filled two of the boxes with old books and Cd’s, the weight of them is quite heavy but the boxes feel strong and up to the job. They are large enough to accommodate six CD’s next to each other on each level. I prefer the built-in handles on these boxes compared with the external ones that are sowed on and normally break very easily, these are much sturdier and a lot easier to pick up in my opinion.Overall, I think these storage boxes are excellent and they are perfect for keeping a wide variety of items in thanks to their generous size and decent weight capacity. For just under £45 they certainly aren’t cheap, but the quality is decent, and they should last for a good amount of time so I feel they are ok value for money. It’s a product I’m more than happy to recommend and I feel they are worth the full five stars, buy with confidence!As we are doing a de-cluttering job at the moment some of the things we want to keep are being put into a variety of storage boxes. This has the effect of tidying things out of sight, help their portability and with such boxes as these look good wherever they are stored.These can be bought singly, in a pack of three or five. Per item is cheaper the larger the set.They come ‘flat packed’ and are easy to store if not used all at once. They have cut out reinforced handles on the long sides for carrying and are lidded which helps with stacking.Unfolding them there ‘ridgity’ is helped when the separate bottom is put in place. The external part of the boxes have a tweedy / weaved feel and a ‘dog tooth’ pattern with plain piping around the edging. This includes the external underneath too. Inside it is lined with a possibly ‘wipeable’ plain material but any liquid is likely to stain.Unlike some it is not strong enough for even a small child to sit on. However as storage it is large, lidded, (a bit) stackable and presentable. A bit more pricey than some they have a bit more of a quality feel about them. Worth considering if they are the right size for where you want them to go.A nice, if slightly pricey set of three collapsible storage boxes.Whoever originally popularised these type of boxes deserves a medal, since they are extremely convenient, as I (a slightly late-comer) have discovered over the past few months, making for much neater / more attractive and even potentially compact storage. These are a good example; not at the bottom-rung of the pricing, but worth it. Materials are good quality, stitching etc. solid, and both base and lid provide a surprising amount of rigidity. The blue check is attractive without drawing too much attention to itself, the plastic side handles are neatly executed, and assembly is a simple matter of unfolding, inserting base and dropping the lid into place. Capacity is good, and while you wouldn't want to put excessively heavy items in them, they're ideal for lighter things such as towels, or even storing mid-weight items such as discs, a few (a few) small books, children's toys etc. providing you don't intend to move them about too much. Very good; if you want a set of attractive collapsible storage boxes, these come recommended.I love storage boxes - they solve so many problems, and this one is just perfect.First of all it comes folded flat - very compact so can be easily stored when not in use. Unfolding it and placing the rigid bottom section in place and adding the lid took a matter of seconds.Second, the fabric exterior is really tasteful and smart and would look good in any room - so much nicer than a plastic crate! Perfect so long as you don't need to see the contents (one advantage of clear plastic crates of course).Finally it is really sturdy and strong. I have just filled it with a variety of books - hardback and paperback - to test its strength, and am pleased to say there was no sign of the bottom sagging or the sides giving way.At £18.99 (at time of review) it is not a cheap option, but it is decorative and not unsightly as so many storage solutions are. I would happily buy more of these.These are really quite good: they arrive flat-packed and just need to be pushed into shape for an instant storage solution to keep things hidden away and dust-free. There’s a backing board to reinforce the base and separate lids. The boxes are sturdy and have a proper box-like structure (as opposed to the soft storage boxes that only have a loose shape).Perfect for wardrobes, shelves, under bed storage (if like me, your bed has the height for it) or anywhere around the house you might have a need for extra storage.My only complaint is regarding the plastic handles: the inner part of the cutout digs into your hands when you grip the boxes; it doesn’t interfere with functionality but they are not very comfortable and more tactile handles could easily have been used here... Nice quality otherwise; they are low odour boxes and I like the classic blue houndstooth fabric ones I got.
